Why,this is the question that people have been asking for as long as we as a species have existed.
So I as the head of this blog ask you to answer a few of these questions.
Why do we stare at the stars?
Why are we attracted to babies?
Why do we prefer mammals over insects?
Why do we love and adore our children?
Why do we eat meat?
Why are we afraid of the dark?
Why do we like music?
feel free to answer any of these questions, or submit your own!!!!!!

Some Economist Questions
Thomas -- this blog's Captain -- honors me, his dad, with his request that I be a co-blogger with him. I'm psyched!
Thomas's dad is an economist, a fact that sounds less interesting than a practical joke played by a Vulcan. But, in fact, economics is loads of fun.
Here are a few things that we economists think we can explain. Can you?
1) Why are prices in convenience stores (such as 7-11) usually higher than are prices in supermarkets?
2) Why can you always find plenty of bagels at the bagel store even though you never call ahead to alert the bagel store and its bagel bakers that you plan to come in to buy one or two dozen bagels?
3) Why did gasoline in the 1970s become more expensive despite government's command that gasoline sellers keep their prices low?
4) Why are most books published first only in hardcover editions, and only later in paperback editions?

Prime Minister devalued
Here is a clip my dad found on You Tube. Most people have got it, I think, but it is still funny.

road records
recently in a Californian desert town grooves were cut into the road surface to play the "Lone Ranger" when cars drive along it. But some residents do not like it that much, they say it sounds like a horrible screeching sound not a nice tune. Maybe luckily state officials have agreed to pave over the grooves, so no more screeching ranger.

Happy Turkey Day
In the traditions of our ancestors (or some of our's)we eat a very ugly bird. Today most people think of the Macy's day parade ,but this is not the only parade today ,there is a big parade in Philadelphia(which is also the oldest in the U.S.A) and probably big parades in many other places. So have a good turkey day.

Obama v. The Stock Market
Recently as we all know Barack Obama was elected president. Before being elected the news personalities were predicting a big rise in the stock market if he was elected, but if you look at stock chart on NOV/5/08 the stock market took a turn for the worst. And it has also been bad since then ,with no end in site...

Hail to the CO2
People in these times say that green house gasses are killing animals and plants .But if I remember my 1st grade science class plants need carbon dioxide and the more CO2 they get the more O2(oxygen).So even though we do produce methane we also produce CO2 so intern we indirectly produce O2.

The scary day is approaching
By reading my title you probably think I am referring to Halloween(hallows-eve) but I am not. I am referring to November 4Th presidential election day.(If you are PRO government stop reading this right now). OK, if you(the reader) have listened to the news you will see Obama and McCain just throwing insults at each other like a child(like every other political election). Now I ask you would you rather have a bad president a bad president or none of the above, sadly the last option is not a option .

And I Can See a Bad Four Years from My Backyard
About a week ago I was on Youtube. And one of the highlighted movies on the main screen was an imitation of Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton. It's not one of the highlighted movies any more, but if you search "Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton" a lot of results will come up. Only some of them show the imitation.
One of the funniest parts in these imitations are when Hillary says "I believe diplomacy should the cornerstone of any foreign policy." And then Sarah Palin says "And I can see Russia from my house!"

This land
At Cafe Hayek if you click on August 2008, then search "campaigning" you should find a link to "Time for Some Campaigning," a spoof on the 2008 election. This video is by JibJab. If you go to their website they have a spoof on the 2004 election which you should watch (the whole way through, literally) and they have "Time for Some Campaigning." The spoof on the 2004 election is called "This Land." There is a little bit of bad language, but only twice and it's not the worst bad language. I think it's hysterical, for all you libertarians out there.
